Sweetmeats was begun in 2000 by Kojo Black. Over the years Kojo Black, with much pride and affection, has developed Sweetmeats Press to be an illustrated erotic literature publishing company deeply invested in pleasure. Readers and friends of our erotic stories and books will know Kojo to be a passionate purveyor of the unrepentant risqué. His tales celebrate the sensuality of lust unbound, the thrill of immodest experimentation, and the delicious honesty of orgiastic rapture. Author of The Collector and (our personal favourite) The Perfect Submissive, Kay Jaybee is also a contributor to many erotic books. Most weekday mornings, Kay is to be found in the far corner of her favourite cafe, with a large black coffee in one hand, a ballpoint pen in the other....and unabashed filth pouring forth from her delicate stylus! KD Grace describes herself as a hopeless romantic, born with an obsession to write. Florian Meacci illustrated our most recent book Immoral Views. He is a French artist working in London. After studying Graphic Design in the South of France, he moved to London to further his career. Working mostly in black ink, his two main inspirations in life are fashion and comic books. His love of comic books is what fueled his desire to become an illustrator. He has already gloriously illustrated erotic literature for Sweetmeats Press, and we're honoured to welcome him on board for Immoral Views!

Lara Addams
From childhood onwards, she always loved to draw, but she never took artwork seriously. Late in 2000, while on an early Christmas shopping trip, she visited a local art shop with a friend. The store was advertising their annual exhibition of amateur artwork, so she picked up an entry form and decided to submit something to the show. With no great expectations, she chose to draw and submit three drawings of some very tame nude figure studies. To her amazement, all her pictures sold almost immediately.
We were so very lucky that Lara illustrated The Candy Box. Her finely skilled and utterly erotic illustrations bring the stories within those pages to life. We hope to have Lara back in the near future to illustrate more Sweetmeats Press prose. Quality above all else is her goal (and she delivers by the truckload). She is confident that if she can make drawings that please herself, they will please others too.

Ruby Baiser
Influenced particularly by 1940s – 1960s erotica, Ruby is best know for her illustrations depicting submission, domination and masochism. After graduating from Brighton University, she is now working as a practising illustrator and is building on her fast-growing collection of erotic magazines.
On a more philosophical note, the act of baring all has been described as both degrading and empowering for women over the past few decades. Much of Ruby's work shows interest in, or contradiction to, whichever opinion is more prevalent in our current society. Here at Sweetmeats Press, we hope we have helped Ruby to explore those theories in her artwork.
